Gratefulness brings wonderful = I have been nominated for amazing award!

By Lynn Ponder: Let me start explaining a little bit about a conference called South by Southwest ‘aka’ SXSW, an annual film/music/interactive conference conducted every March in Austin, Texas. They say that the most popular part is the SXSW Interactive Conference which draws over lots of techies at one place. This conference started as a platform for startups and techies to showcase their new services to the world. Although started in 1987 the SXSW interactive conference grew large every year and now it seems the biggest tech event.

As we all know the world changed and Latinos are a big part of this movement not only because we are the largest minority but stats say that by 2030, Spanish will be the World’s second most widely spoken after Chinese..imagine that!!! Oh and if that is not enough to grab your attention by 2050 the US will be the country with the largest number of Spanish speakers WEPA!

So this year SXSW Interactive just turned up the heat a few notches. An incubator of cutting-edge technologies, this year’s festival will feature the first official Latino Lounge and Revolucionario Awards March 12 at Carlos Santana’s Maria Maria restaurant.

As part of the nation’s premiere venue for the latest from the music and technology industries, SXSW Interactive will be the stage for the unveiling of The Social Revolución and Revolucionario Awards, an interactive movement of Latinos using social media as their platform to create and inspire change. The Revolucionario Awards recognize Latino visionaries using social media to create change.

We want to thank Sebastian Puente, Founder of Cultural Strategies, a multicultural marketing and advertising firm based in Austin and his amazing Revolucionarios Team for honoring all the trendsetter Latinos who impact the Hispanic Market online and offline, influence their online community from a multicultural perspective and the ones who are redefining what it means to be a Latino!!!

Honored, humbled and so grateful to be nominated for the Mobilizer Revolucionaria Award.

Soy una REVOLUCIONARIA Latina y Orgullosa WEPA!!!
