By Lynn Ponder: We are thrilled to announce that we have been invited to be Ford’s Social Media Ambassador during the Siempre Mujer Music Festival in Charleston, South Carolina on Saturday, June 16. Ford Motor Company is proud to be the sponsor as it will further their desire to connect with Hispanic Families through a unique and fun experience as well as to empower the latino community so they can make the best decisions about the cars they drive and purchasing choices.
So what will it be like? Of course that we will be wearing our Pink Style and Ford thought that it would be fun to give out blue wigs to the Latinas who test drive any of the Ford vehicles during the festival and we think it is a FABulous cool idea! We will engage with the audience during the festival on stage and on the ground interacting and being social with every person we meet, so we can talk about the NEW Ford in Town [Fiesta, Focus, New Escape and New Fusion]. We had the awesome experience to test drive these cars in Portland, Oregon and San Francisco, feeling like we where participating in the AmaZing Race LOL! And I can say that they offer a wide choice of fuel friendly efficiencies among many other awesome qualities. We know that we will never have to sacrifice performance for fuel efficiency again.
Ford is going all out at the Festival with a specially designed Ford Experiential Zone, where we will invite all of our new Latina friends we meet, to test drive the 2013 Ford Escape, Fusion, Fiesta and Focus. On display to view, will be the stunning Mustang, Explorer and F-150 vehicles.
The New Ford absolutely kicks it in innovation and technology. Innovation that simplifies your life with intelligent access with push button start, hands free lift gate, innovation that alerts and assists. One thing that we learned and experienced during our social media participation on Ford Escape Reality Show on NBC was that the New 2013 Ford Escape has this amazing hands free parallel parking feature that we felt the need to record a video demonstrating how it works, a favorite of ours!
Details: Siempre Mujer is the largest Spanish-language magazine for Hispanic women in the US. The festival is free on Saturday, June 16 at the Family Circle Cup Arena and event will be hosted by the Siempre Mujer Magazine Editor-in-Chief Maria Marrero.
Doors open at 9:30am with free daytime activities that include self-empowerment, beauty, health, careers, food and fashion seminars lead by the Siempre Mujer editorial staff and experts like Xavier Serbia from CNN Dinero, Co-Host Karla Martinez from Univision Despierta America, astrologer Carlos Javier Aranzales and Gilda Torres, editor of the career and employment section of the magazine.
Soccer and tennis clinics for kids hosted by professional USL soccer team and USTA Tennis Association. Carolina Studios a mobile studio giving kids and adults access to state of the art recording equipment. Informative interactive panel focused on immigration with CNN Juan Carlos Lopez and others. DJ Luigi Bravo spinning all day and Zumba dance instructions will also be part of the mix! Gilberto Santa Rosa will hold a greet and meet with Fans WEPA!
During the evening Pink Girls can’t wait to share with fans and tweet away all of the behind the scenes right before concert headlined by Grammy Award winning artists Los Tigres del Norte, Gilberto Santa Rosa and Chino y Nacho. Tickets to the evening concert are on sale at the venue box office and Ticketmaster, and range from $25-$69 (plus fees, where applicable).
Without a doubt this will be a wonderful experience for webcitygirls as a social media brand that not only lives online but also comes to life in the real world expanding Ford’s message in a fun positive way as brand ambassadors with fans and friends.
