By Lynn Ponder: Esta semana las Pink Girls estamos en candela. We have so much going on that we need to share all of our excitement. First and foremost Miami is getting ready for one of the most fun award shows on Thursday, July 19, Premios Juventud on Univision Network. Starting at 7pm we will be on the blue carpet to capture as many TwitterHellos interviews and pictures with our favorite Latino celebrities to share with our fans and friends!
Faranduleando for Pink Girls starts today, with a phone interview from Los Angeles with one of the most charming Mexican singer-songwriter and actors, Christopher Von Uckermann best known as a member of the pop band RBD. Christopher is currently starring in the hit TV series of mystery and science fiction Kdabra from Fox’s new Spanish language television network Mundo Fox.
Before we confirmed Christopher interview, we decided to put out ONE tweet telling Christopher fans that we might be interviewing him and if they had any questions. Cut to we got tons of tweets from Spain, Brazil, Polonia, Colombia, Guatemala, Los Angeles, Mexico with interesting questions, we will happily be sharing with him!
On Monday we are also pending to confirm an interview with a shining young idol star singer-songwriter form the Bachata genre Prince Royce. We are fans of his music and songwriting. Prince Royce is nominated for 10 awards at Premios Juventud and has been dominating every single award show in 2012 as artist of the year, album and songrwriter of the year WEPA! 2011/2012 Prince Royce was the Latino Artist that sold most records…Orgullo Latino!
On Tuesday, I was asked to interview former US Ambassador to Ecuador Ivonne Baki who is the plenipotentiary representative of Ecuador to the Yasuni-ITT Initiative helping to preserve one of the world’s most biologically diverse regions. I had interviewed her previously via telephone but this week we are having a face to face in Coconut Grove to discuss her life as an artist, politician, socialite and diplomat saving the Amazon.
Wednesday, we have two events but unfortunately we will only be able to attend one of them and we have picked Cosmo Summer Splash at SOHO Beach House. We will enjoy one of the hottest swimwear fashion shows sponsored by COVERGIRL, Pantene and Televisa Publishing.
Thursday, July 19, BIG day for us as we get ready for the Premios Juventud red carpet, we are hosting the First #PinkGlam TwitCam at 2:30pm EST with Madai, the newest member of Mr. 305 Inc., the quintessential Miami Latina, born in Guantanamo, Cuba and raised in America.
A TwitCam is a website that allows for live video streaming linked to a users Twittter Account. The idea is to give our viewers a peak into how celebrities get ready for the red carpet and have a virtual face to face fun time before we take off to cover Premios Juventud. We are so excited that Madai is our exclusive guest for our first TwitCam and grateful to have celebrity make-up artist Grace Aguado sharing her magic.
Madai is not just an exceptional singer/songwriter; she is a talented dancer as well. Madai is currently working on her highly anticipated debut album working with world-renowned producers The Jump Smokers. She has collaborated with Maffio and Fito Blanko for the 2 singles and we know that her debut album is going to be off the charts and can hardly wait for it to be released.
On Friday we have been invited by the sweet ladies from The Dream Team Agency to an afternoon of a stunning beautiful Agua Bendita Swimwear Fashion Show sponsored by TRESemme with celebrity guests Madai, Sophia del Carmen and Sensato which promises to be a FUNtastic time!
Saturday to wrap up this amazing week we will be covering Conexión en Vivo event for MundoFOX bringing their ‘Americano como tú’ slogan to life with an event that will include non-stop entertainment, games, prizes and special musical performances by a local favorite , Suenalo, and the Puerto Rican sensation, Tito El Bambino.
