By Lynn Ponder: As the Latino leader in multimedia and social media Univision has launched uvideos.com the First Digital Network and it is mega cool. I have been exploring uvideos.com Spanish content and discovered that the user interface is also available in English, with subtitles on many of Univision shows.
You can log in uvideos.com via your Facebook or Twitter account, register and the interface is really easy to navigate. Social Media experience is awesome as your comments are time-coded and available to all other viewers who are watching these programs at any time like mimicking a live experience. Basically you can share and comment with all your friends socially.
Viewers will be able to select the long-form programming or short clips of content they want to see when they want to see it. Its like having your own DVR but without the need to set the recording button.
The content is available for mobile on your iPhone or Android and the only thing you need to do is download uvideos app for free and start viewing your favorite Univision Shows. As a first for Univision they offered online viewers an exclusive preview of their new novela Amores Verdaderos before it aired on TV, so expect new and innovative online previews, as they evolve with uvideos Digital Network WEPA!
If you are watching a live show and want to be on your phone, the uvideos mobile app will sync the live show for a further social experience on your smartphone giving you the opportunity to interact with other viewers in the social space. Follow uvideos on Twitter to engage even more!
Another aspect of this digital network is that it will have advertising in English and Spanish a total contrast to their TV advertising but current and relevant to their bilingual online audience.
To understand more about uvideos please join me and Elma Placeres Dieppa Thursday, November 8 at 9pm for a LATISM Twitter Party to talk all about UVideos. Use hashtag #LATISM and lets chat about your experience using UVideos
Disclosure: I was compensated to participate in the #Latism digital content for the gente campaign.
