Ford & Art: Bikes Turned Into Sculptures

Ford Latino is sponsoring an original and fun event by ArtCycle which is an art event to raise awareness for riders and drivers promoting wellness and safer streets through an active lifestyle while supporting the arts. This big idea comes from creators, founders and organizers Tachi Llamas and Giselle Delgado.

ARTcycle worked with artists sponsored to intervene 15 bikes and turn them into sculptures and installations. ARTcycle bikes were exhibited during ArtBasel December 6-9, 2012 in Wynwood.

Bikes were also exhibited in South Miami at Jorge Hulian Gallery followed by a move to Coral Gables Museum, where they will be auctioned during ARTCycle Auction event, January 23rd. Funds raised will support Green Mobility Network’s Safe Streets Miami educational programs.

The artists involved: Aida Tejada, Janet Mueller, Katiuska Gonzalez, Nancy Martini, Mariano Costa-Peuser, Elito Diaz, Gioconda Rojas, Lucinda Linderman, Maximiliano Pecce, Johanna Boccardo, Erwin Georgi, Giselle Delgado Buraye, and Astolfo Funes.

Ford Latino will be having an ECO Game Challenge for a chance to test drive a 2013 Ford Escape for an entire weekend WEPA!

Please join us on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 6:30pm and lets be a part of making Miami Streets safer as we also support local artists. See you at Coral Gables Museum
