By Linda Ponder: Mi Gente lets celebrate National Hispanic Heritage month as we are all contributors to the presence of Hispanic and Latino Americans in the United States and it’s a great time to celebrate our heritage and culture. As Hispanics we have had a profound and positive influence on our country through our strong commitment to family, faith, hard work, and service.
Viva Miami Expo is part of a National Hispanic Heritage initiative created by Liliam M. Lopez, President-CEO of South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Lilliam invites you to join her and all the members/leaders of the community on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 of September at the Miami Airport Convention Center, where you will find free information for small businesses, free health screenings, information on scholarships for high school students about to enter college and a children’s pavilion.
There will be a special presentation celebrating the 500th anniversary of our State of Florida on stage at Viva Miami Expo inaugural business luncheon on Friday, September 27, 2013 at noon. Scholarship recipients of the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce are honored on Saturday, September 28, 2013, during a special ceremony of students and parents.
Entrance is FREE and open to the public. As a bonus FREE Sun Passes will be given and so much more. You can follow SFLHCC on Twitter for updates.
