Dreams Coming True in 2013!

Mi Gente last week was insanely busy, but also incredibly rewarding. I started the week in Chicago with The Ford Motor Company attending and hosting an event for them at The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. I love Ford for all that they create and specially how they truly care for the Hispanic community. Ford cars are really phenomenal from the Hybrids to SUVs to the Trucks, a truly iconic and solid American brand. We are honored to work with Ford en Español on different social media programs.

I left Chicago with many new contacts and a wonderful experience to land in Tallahassee, where I was invited to a networking event titled “Get your Pink ON” by the Young Professionals Network and I was to speak the next day at the Florida Public Relations Association about Multicultural Marketing from a Social Media point of view. Shout out y GRACIAS to Fernando Rodriguez from Moore Communications Latino, with me in the post pic, who created the fun evite and made my trip possible!!! Some of the tweets that took place during the talk:

Tallahassee was outstanding and I not only got the opportunity to tell my story of the evolution of Web City Girls as a social media brand, but I learned a lot from the other speakers Creative Director, Marco Barreto from the Pod Agency and the lovely Ledvi Beza Chief Cultural Officer of Taproot Creative.

Next stop New York City and we are still talking about last week lol, where I was invited to attend “Icons of Style” a beautiful event at The Mandarin Oriental to honor the top latino icons of style throughout the years by Vanidades magazine, where I hanged-out with celebrities and had so much fun!!!

NYC was a super busy time, as I had meetings set-up and a speaking engagement at LATISM 2013 conference, where something magical happened and was the most remarkable feeling of validation of the meaning of all my hard work, determination and passion. Web City Girls won the Best Latina Micro-Blogger award at LATISM 2013 Conference Award Gala wepa!!! I also was honored to be selected by Latism as one of the Top Blogueras during the #Latism13 Conference in New York City. I feel proud to be a part of the distinguished group of online business latina women that lead communities through their unique voice as bloggers and social media influencers with exemplary leadership.

Aplausos for the sponsors that made LATISM 2013 Top Blogueras a dream come true: Johnson &Johnson, Toyota, Google, Univision, Goya, Disney, Consumer Reports, McDonalds, and Coffee-mate.

This award made me feel the most happy and proud person in the world followed by an awesome time during my speaking engagement about “The Art of Vlogging” with lovely and talented moderator Lisann Valentin, Alejandro Duque from You Tube and David Tames a filmmaker professor who shared with all of us valuable information. I am grateful for the awesome tweets from winning and from the session.

A seguir trabajando duro para que todos mis sueños se sigan convirtiendo en realidad wepa! Thank you all for your support and love x!
