At the very end of the Billboard Music Awards red carpet where the artists are rushing into the MGM Grand Arena for the show, you could see that PINK wig. Networking around my space, I met this super sweet photographer from Las Vegas, Rodolfo Yolangco who loved my dress by Viviana Gabeiras and took pictures of me. Then there was this charismatic young man, I believe from Los Angeles, who told me that he was there on behalf of Chevrolet, official sponsor of the show, to gather information and then write about it.  He told me all this, but I cannot remember his name, but I do remember thinking what a cool insight to know, brands are extending their media placement directly into an actual spot on the red carpet.


From attending the Latin Grammy’s as a social media reporter to being part of the Artists and Music Experts Billboard Music Awards LIVE Blog, I’ve learned to keep my journalistic instincts in place 24/7, so as they brought the blogger next to me, a top liner group for him to ask one question and with no other cameras around except mine, I’ve got me my first One Republic EXCLUSIVE, “digo EXCLUSIVA”… uffff it feels exhilarating! I am very thankful and needing to ask my social media friends at Billboard to connect me with that blogger to thank him. Also HUGE Thank YOU’s to Katie Morse and Tye Comer from Billboard.

I am responsible of getting my own press credentials approved to be on the red carpet/media room, as well as cover my travel expenses. Lucky me that a brand like The Ford Motor Company understands the power of social connectivity and through some of my coverage we exchanged organic social exposure for their Hispanic Communication, while I continued creating my own original content. Our multicultural audience loves to engage with our social media content and brands like Ford, Nestlé, AT&T/Cricket, Home Depot, ESPN Deportes, Gain and Nevarez Communication -believe in our platform and work with us on different social initiatives. Our BBMAs coverage going on 6.8MM impressions on Twitter and 40,000+ views on webcitygirls// You Tube channel.
