Race Around America Lands in Miami

Did you hear about Race Around America?  Well, Miami Pink Girls had the opportunity to be part of the promotional Miami on-site Race Around America ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang presented by Walgreens.  What a fun initiative to introduce the NEW balance Financial Prepaid MasterCard from Walgreens.  A totally interactive and engaging program where the audience voted online, watched webisodes to see the decisions in action as four of NASCAR’s best drivers took the Mustang around the country. Participants had a chance to win a trip to Miami and the possibility of one cool hot rod with driver Chris Buescher. Chris is currently a developmental driver for Roush Fenway Racing, and drives the No. 60 Roush Performance Parts Ford Mustang in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.

We started the day off with some meet and greets at the Walgreens on Collins in Miami Beach. Among the surprises for Fans as they waited in line to get a signed invitation, they were treated to a free dinner at the Eleventh Street Diner. The Rookie of the Year Contender was thrilled to have the chance to interact with his supporters who wished him good luck on this weekend’s final competition of ‘Race Around America’. Walgreens and Roush Fenway Racing partnered to present the Roush Stage 3 Mustang, a testament of what is an icon of speed and engineering. It purrs like a Lion and drives like a dream. Not only is Saturday the last race for ‘Race Around America’ but the winner of the Roush Stage 3 Mustang/Trip to Miami will also be announced. Walgreens picked the top four individuals who had earned the most Balance Reward points through their Balance Financial Prepaid MasterCard.

During the meet and greet 3 fans were selected to take an exclusive ride in the Roush Stage 3 Mustang with Chris. The Miami traffic didn’t stop them from bringing the rooftop down and enjoying the cool breeze.  After a cruise around town, it was time to chow down. As promised Chris was able to use his Balance Financial Prepaid MasterCard from Walgreens to treat his fans to a delicious meal. Subs, sandwiches and salads all tasted as good as it smelled. In return Chris earned Balance reward points that will be beneficial to him for any quick stops along the road.

At the young age of 22, Beuscher has won over 100 races and took home 1st place at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital 200 in Ohio. At 12 years old, Chris was already firing up engines and knew that this was more than a hobby. When asked if he would like to be the next Jeff Gordon Chris said “that’s the plan!” Getting to travel the country, meeting his supporters who love the sport just as much as him are just some perks of the job. With the help of Walgreens and Roush Fenway Racing we were able to have a productive day. Web City Girls wishes Chris a successful race this Saturday and who knows maybe one day we can test out the race track as well.
