Movies Under The Stars Downtown Miami

Happy one year anniversary to the Arts + Entertainment (A+E) District of Greater Downtown Miami! To celebrate this milestone, the November calendar of events is packed with both our classic favorites and fresh offerings to explore. Whether you are enjoying a new movie, listening to a live band or having intellectual conversations over coffee, you will find your perfect community event this month.

The month will kick off with Movies Under the Stars, where film lovers can enjoy a viewing of award-winning Argentinian film: Relatos Salvajes. Next up is Caffeinated Conversations, which focuses on experiential storytelling and performative architecture. Finally, the month will end with a lively celebration for A+E’s 1 year Anniversary! Through various events catering to art lovers, film fanatics, fitness aficionados, and everyone in between, the A+E District is furthering its mission to create a true urban village in the heart of downtown where locals and visitors can live, work, and play.

All events occur in the heart of the Arts + Entertainment District of Greater Downtown Miami, an area roughly bounded by 21st Street (North), Interstate 395 (South), Biscayne Bay (East), and North Miami Avenue (West). November 2015 Calendar of Events for the A+E District will feature:

1.·Movies Under the Stars– “Relatos Salvajes”: Without further delay: join us as we welcome back the Miami International Film Festival for Movies Under the Stars! MIFF brings the award-winning Argentinian film: Relatos Salvajes (Wild Tales) by acclaimed director, Damián Szifrón, to our backyard. The comedic thriller is comprised of six short stories unveiling the inner rage that drives and thus, connects us. The film will be shown with English subtitles. There will be a 15-minute intermission.
Complimentary Barton & Guestier wine for the first hour, grub by Gaucho Ranch, sweet treats from Mad Chiller and Ma-Ka-Rohn, and Airstream Apothecary’s handcrafted cocktails. Bring friends, family, and lawn chairs.

2.·Caffeinated Conversations II: Gather around the breakfast table for a morning wake up call-to-action about experiential storytelling and performative architecture with NEWT. Join the creative movement and learn the ins and outs of our city’s innovative future featuring the bright visionary, Dejha Carrington, all moderated by The New Tropic. Enjoy fresh cold brew by Vice City Bean, Tea by Orteas Tea, and sweet morning treats from Mad Chiller. RSVP Required.

3.·A+E 1 Year Anniversary! : Happy birthday to the Arts + Entertainment District!
Join us in celebrating our first year of creative accomplishments, community growth, and cultural development in the urban village we have come to call home, all thanks to you! The evening will feature live performances by Mr. Pauer and Locos Por Juana, a photo gallery featuring our Adobe Photo Jam winner, Max Reed, the year’s best grub, and organic cocktails by Airstream Apothecary.
