Here comes Carnaval Miami!

Miami are you ready for Carnaval Miami? Let’s go over some of the amazing festivities which start March 5/6 with the kick-off of Carnaval on the Mile in Coral Gables. Party at three different concert stages with over 30 musical groups featuring Latin Funk, Rock, Folk and more. Walk Miracle Mile with over 120 fine artists, sculptures, painting, photography, crafts and stunning jewelry.

Please stop by the Heineken Stage on Ponce South to enjoy the amazing voice of our dear friend from Puerto Rico Raquel Sofia who will be performing on Saturday 9pm.

The culmination of it all is on March 13th between 8th to 27th Avenue from 11am to 7pm see you at the 39th Annual Calle Ocho Festival. Andy Garcia is the proud official King of Carnaval Miami 2016. Garcia will perform along with his own CineSon All Stars which includes former band members of legendary Cuban bassist Israel Lopez “Cachao” whom Garcia produced and collaborated with their multiple Grammy Award –winning albums.


City blocks in Little Havana full of musical stages, international foods, dance, sampling sites and family entertainment to celebrate life in South Florida. Can hardly wait to dance to the music of Jacob Forever, Chino y Nacho, Oro Solido, Fuego, J.Quiles, Hansel y Raul. Miss Carnaval Miami 2016, Lelany Marie Barea, will gracefully make her debut as she was recently crowned.

Kiwanis Club of Little Havana the motor behind all these events is dedicated to serving children in the community creating yearly activities from Carnaval Miami, scholarship grants, Back-To-School programs and the internationally recognized Calle Ocho Festival. Kiwanis organization of volunteers could not do it without the kindness of the sponsors. AT&T is the official wireless sponsor of Calle Ocho and Carnaval on the Mile with charging stations, photo booth and a cool lounge showcasing videos on 3D. A musical contest “Sing it to Win it” will be judged by festival goers at Carnaval on the Mile. To participate all you have to do is stop by AT&T Lounge on location in front of AT&T store on Saturday, March 5th to register. Participants will be selected and whoever has the most creative lyrics to Gente de Zona’s “La Gozadera” and can incorporate AT&T into the lyrics will win. Prizes include Bluetooth Speaker and headset.

Heineken is the official beer of Carnaval on the Mile and has a stage, on Ponce. The Heineken House at Carnaval on the Mile invites everyone to hang out in the cabana to relax and enjoy an ice cold beverage.
