Over the past couple of action-packed days, WebCityGirls’ Founder, Lynn Ponder @webcitygirls has been honoring Hispanic Heritage in partnership with Ford Motor Company through a 4-day live social reality adventure #UnstoppableLATINAS. Along with amigas and fellow Latina influencers Domenica Mena @domenicamena, Fernanda Chacón@cookandmove, Miss Carnaval Miami Lelany Barea and Linda Ponder @ponderela, they have been sharing inspirational stories and fun events related to Music, Food, Sports, and Culture.

Pero hoy webcitygirls is all about LA COMIDA as we continue our #UnstoppableLATINAS adventure by celebrating Hispanic Heritage in food con nuestro amigo venezolano Chef Hamlet!



Over the scope of his career, Chef Hamlet has hosted and produced more than 300 interviews with top personalities from the worlds of music and entertainment and has led food reports and segments for various international and local Miami television stations. As a contributor to Univision’s 28-day digital fitness and nutrition challenge Reto 28, he helps inspire registrants to lose weight through healthy eating. Now a national spokesperson for the American Heart Association, you can also watch him as host of Vme’s show “Sazón para el Mundo,” where he offers viewers quick and easy recipes infused with flavors from around the world.

Ensalada Andina
(4 personas)

•    3 tazas de col rizada picado (kale)
•    1 taza de quinoa cocinada
•    1 taza de tomates cherry en mitades
•    1/2 taza de cebolla en cuadros pequeños
•    3/4 Taza de mango en cuadritos
•    1/2 taza de nueces o almendras

Se mezclan todos los ingredientes en un bowl grande y se agrega el aderezo al gusto.

Aderezo de Balsámico Blanco y Menta

•    1 taza de aceite de oliva
•    1/2 taza de vinagre balsámico blanco
•    3 cucharadas de Miel
•    1 taza de hojas de menta
•    1 cucharadita de pasta de chili
•    Sal y pimienta al gusto

Se colocan todos los ingredientes en una licuadora y se bate hasta crear una emulsión.
