 October 29, 2017 To: News Media From: Lynn Ponder Referring to: Clarification of Lynn Ponder’s role with Whitefish Energy. Given the amount of inaccurate and false information that has circulated through different media, both in print and digital, I believe it is necessary to clarify such information, since it is tearing a part my personal integrity and my professional reputation. After 28 years residing and working in the United States mainland, I returned to Puerto Rico in July of this year with the intention of contributing to the island, to the best of my ability, in the recovery of its financial crisis. Through my platforms, my focus in creating positive digital content with visual stories in the form of video and photos to be disseminated on social networks. I am not a public relations manager, nor have I presented myself as such. After hurricane Maria, my services were contracted by the public relations agency LDWW Group, based in Dallas, Texas, which is the public relations agency for Whitefish Energy (“WF”). The agency hired me with the objective of creating a social media strategy to simply inform and educate the public about the restoration work of the electrical system. As part of my obligations I had to deliver two videos and photos, upload them to a “Dropbox” of the WF account. The LDWW agency was responsible for creating the description, approving the content and uploading it to Twitter and Facebook. My access to the WF Facebook page was only to translate into Spanish the descriptions that LDWW created on the page. On a few occasions, at the request of LDWW, I attended, as host or “hostess” to the American press. I was never a spokesperson for WF; as I was never hired for that role. I never managed the WF Twitter account or had any access to it, so I was not the author of the “tweets” addressed to the mayor of San Juan. I have asked the Chief Executive Officer of Whitefish Energy, Andy Techmanski and the founder of the public relations agency LDWW Group Ken Luce, to issue a statement clarifying what my duties were with them but, so far, it has not happen.   29 de octubre de 2017 A: Medios Informativos de Puerto Rico De: Lynn Ponder Ref: Aclaración Role de Lynn Ponder con Whitefish Energy Ante la cantidad información errada y falsa que ha circulado por distintos medios, tanto impresos como digitales, creo necesario aclarar la misma, ya que se está lacerando mi integridad personal y mi reputación profesional. Luego de 28 años residiendo y trabajando en los Estados Unidos, regresé en julio de este año a Puerto Rico con la intención de aportar, en la medida que me fuera posible, a mi país en la recuperación de su crisis financiera. Yo me dedico a crear contenido digital positivo con historias visuales en video y fotos para ser diseminadas en las redes sociales. No soy relacionista público ni me he presentado como tal nunca. Luego del paso del huracán María mis servicios fueron contratados por la agencia de relaciones públicas LDWW Group con sede en Dallas, Texas, que es la empresa que maneja las relaciones públicas de Whitefish Energy (“WF”), con el objetivo de crear una estrategia creativa en las redes sociales para informar y educar al público sobre las labores de restauración del sistema eléctrico. Como parte de mis obligaciones debía entregar dos videos y fotos, subirlas a un “Dropbox” de la cuenta de WF. La agencia LDWW era responsable de crear la descripción, aprobar el contenido y subirlo a Twitter y a Facebook. Mi acceso a la página de WF de Facebook era únicamente para traducir al español las descripciones que LDWW creaba en la página. En ocasiones, a petición de LDWW, atendí, como anfitriona o “hostess” a la prensa estadounidense. Nunca fui portavoz de WF. Nunca manejé la cuenta de Twitter de WF ni he tenido acceso a la misma, por lo que no fui la autora de los “tweets” dirigidos a la alcaldesa de San Juan. Le he solicitado al Principal Oficial Ejecutivo de Whitefish Energy, Andy Techmanski y al fundador de la agencia de relaciones públicas LDWW Ken Luce, que emitieran un comunicado donde se aclarase cuáles eran mis funciones con ellos pero, hasta el momento, no se ha materializado. Al haber estado fuera de Puerto Rico durante tantos años, no he estado envuelta en su política partidista.
