A Trip to Isabela, Puerto Rico

This past weekend I got invited by some friends to a discovery trip of beach town Isabela, on the northwest side of the island known for impressive beaches. The purpose of this trip was mainly to search for beach properties that could be a good fit to turn into an Airbnb. Isabela has a chill vibe, and you can sense a soft calmness through a delightful sound from the nearby ocean. Easy to fall in love with this beautiful beach town feeling the warmth of its people. A fun fact is that as we drove through the town, people would would wave to us. Several fun stops at local restaurant and bars followed, easily connecting with friendly and kind people from Isabela. We saw lots of properties for sale, this town is hurting by the recession, but I feel that with investors catching on and a great marketing campaign, Isabela can be on its way to become the new IT PLACE! There are some truly spectacular beaches and beautiful properties. A remarkable property that requires a post within itself, and an overnight stay plus interview with the owners is a magical place called Royal Isabela. I think this could be the most stunning and beautiful experience while visiting Puerto Rico and I feel it is a secret to the world.  Need to come back and capture original content for my LIVE Show in the FALL: “WebCityGirls LIVE from Puerto Rico”. Stay tuned Check out the Royal Isabela video story and some pics:...

Empires, Pizza, Castles And Heart-Wrenching Opera – Naples Has It All

Pronounced ‘Na-po-li’ by the locals, it’s the city that blends the old with the new. It’s where kings and paupers have lived side by side for centuries. A great getaway, It’s also where the dawn of the Italian Renaissance began. All through the city, there are stone sculptures that look down upon the passersby; some with glee and some with glare. The city still has the ruins of the Roman Empire laden all over the city. Naples is the little-known birthplace of the pizza that we love and enjoy. It was originally peasants who made an open pie because they needed it to cool quickly so that they could eat on the move. The city is adorned with skyscrapers, yet the buildings from the Middle Ages still stand strong and have been opened to the public as viewing galleries and museums. There’s only so much you can do if you’re staying for a short while, so here are the best activities you can enjoy. Cooking Class Contrary to popular belief, some of the best Italian cooks in the world were born in Naples, Italy. They may have traveled to Rome to make good of their talent in gastronomy, but their families taught them first and taught them well. A Florence cooking class will teach you the Neapolitan technique of making pizza. Simplicity is the key, after all, it is a food that comes from the poor peasant farmers who still to this day live in the hills surrounding the city. The classic, passata, mozzarella, and basil leaves pizza by far the best in the country. The quality of ingredients are unsurpassed even by the capital. You’ll also learn the humble version of ice cream, known as gelato. Silky smooth, but thick and rich, this is the treat every wants at the end of a meal. You’ll learn just how carefully the milk needs to be treated, and how fine the flavors needs to be ground and purified. It’s an art in itself, but you’ll have great teachers to help you. Pompeii’s Ruins The world will never forget the might of the Roman Empire. Despite all it went through, it lasted over 1500 years, which has no doubt left its mark on the city of Pompeii. It’s thoroughly Roman; the people are hardy, the rocks that were laid all those years ago, are still tough as they ever were. The UNESCO World Heritage site that is situated just outside of Naples takes customers from the outskirts of the city by bus and train. From this site, you’ll be able to witness the Mount Vesuvius volcano. You’ll then travel down to...

An Enchanting Island: Vieques, Puerto Rico

An Enchanting Island: Vieques, Puerto Rico

Vieques is an enchanting island–municipality of Puerto Rico in the northeastern Caribbean with stunning beaches. Vieques has a long-history with the U.S. Navy, who arrived in 1941 and was ordered by President, George Bush to leave by May 2003. The Navy created infrastructure throughout the Island, but also took possession of some of the most beautiful beaches and land. You will find different articles about this subject as “Viequenses” have mix feelings about the transition departing the island. A population of 9, 000 claims more has to be done clearing munitions and toxic contaminants from the three-quarters of island once occupied by the military. In case you plan to invest in the enchanting island of Vieques taking advantage of tax incentives through Puerto Rico Laws 2o and 22, please know that the economic survival of the island depends on construction, tourism, fishing and the largest employer is General Electric. Vieques is only six miles away from the main island, and to get there you can choose among local airline services, private charters or a ferry that departs from Fajardo. Our weekend getaway to Martineau Belle Playa Villa began with a 25 minute flight from Isla Grande Airport with viequesairlink.com. A round-trip ticket will cost you $150.00. Lucky me just two weeks into my new life in Puerto Rico, got invited to this fabulous getaway by wonderful couple Rene and Zulma, who have invested in the island and own the beautiful Martineau Belle Playa Villa within the property of the 5-star W Martineau Retreat and Spa. The Villa made me feel like the rich and famous, but most importantly the kindness of each one of the ten people staying together for a family weekend touched my heart. We truly had a wonderful time in what beachfront luxury is all about! The access to the private residence begins at the entrance of the W Martineau Retreat a short walking distance from the Martineau Belle Playa Villa which includes its own private beach. The Villa is for rent throughout the year, and I heard that Daddy Yankee and some Hollywood a-lister have rented the home. Please visit this link for more details: homeaway.com/vacation-rental and start planning your dream trip to paradise! We spent a half-day touring the island and discovered the hixislandhouse.com a quaint place for nature lovers and visited local restaurants, galleries and even some shopping time! Vieques offers other choices to stay depending on your budget and adventurous lifestyle. Visit Vieques Insider an awesome guide to Sea, Sand and Sun!!! We are planning our next discovery trip for labor day weekend to Rincón a beautiful town on Puerto Rico’s west coast, known for its beaches. We are looking to stay at another friends villa rental, stay tuned!!!...

Harmony of the Seas is Unbelievable!

Can you believe that on no occasion before 2016 had I planned or been on a Cruise trip, considering how much I love the immensity and beauty of the sea. Being from Puerto Rico, naturally I have been on sailboats, participated in fabulous sailing regattas and cruised on some the most beautiful yachts throughout the Caribbean, but not ever with a Cruise Line. WebCityGirls is grateful for special press invite from two of the top Cruise Line’s in the World. This time a two-day adventure on Royal Caribbean inaugural press trip from Port Everglades to Nassau, Bahamas on the biggest and most innovative ship to date: Harmony of The Seas who joins joins Oasis class sister ships Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas. Aerial view of Harmony of the Seas’ water park: The trip started by exploring and discovering the amaZing 5,497-passenger ship with a 2,200 international crew working hard to deliver a phenomenal vacation for customers.  Attended a press conference where some of the words I heard Royal Caribbean Top Executives describe “Harmony of The Seas” as: “Unbelievable Biggest, Baddest, Sexiest, and Powerful”. Who certainly lived up to these words with the tallest slide at sea, onboard zip line, flow rider surf simulators, 7 distinct Neighborhoods, Vegas Style Casino, Robotic Bartenders. Entertainment from a Broadway hit musical to never seen beyond state-of-the-art technology over a ice rink performance to high-flying diving daredevils in the AquaTheater. Harmony has 8 Specialty Restaurants with over 200 different dishes served on a daily basis.  We had a wonderful private dinner at Coastal Kitchen, a venue just for Royal Suite Class and Pinnacle Club guests. Cocktails on the charming Solarium Bar terrace and danced salsa while sipping on latin inspired drinks at Boleros. Walking around the ship we discovered many different bars and restaurants including Central Park neighborhood covered by tropical plants, trees and beautiful walkways. Harmony of the Seas will sail seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries, taking in the islands and the shores of Mexico. Here are some fun videos from around Harmony of the Seas: Bionic Bar encounter with a 2 robotic arm bartenders: Pool and Sports Boardwalk Video: Some friend influencers were invited throughout the week and we got lucky to share same trip and create a short video with TOP Mexican influencer Hector Trejo also known as “Bullysteria”. My favorite 1887 A Journey In Time Ice Skating Production: Visit royalcaribbean.com to book your next cruise and share your fun pictures with @webcitygirls okis!  ...

TOP 10 Favorites @CruiseNorwegian Escape

I love serendipity when it falls in my own lap, like when fortunateness knocked on my door getting invited by Norwegian Cruise Line Latin America Marketing Public Relations from NCL Argentina to share my experience aboard their ship as part of a collaboration with with top Argentinian influencer Lucia Ugarte, founder of the widely successful ChicasGuapasTV.com. As a matter of fact, it was my first-time-ever on Cruise Norwegian doing what I love most: inspiring goodness and happiness on social networks. One of our first treats aboard was attending a private reception to meet the captain, first mate and other ship officers. I did a short video interview with Norwegian Escape Captain Gunnar Hammerin , click here to view, he reveals interesting facts about his experience. Freestyle cruising is the order on the magnificent Norwegian Escape 8-Day FUN adventure through pristine beaches in the Caribbean. Built in 2015, the ship has an overall length of 1,069 feet and a guest capacity of 4,266, along with 1,733 friendly, caring and very helpful crew members. Can you imagine being surrounded by 28 fabulous dining options, 21 fun bars and styled lounges, 16 passenger decks, a quarter-mile oceanfront promenade, casino, aqua park, three-story sports complex, outstanding musical shows, indoor and outdoor movie theatre, extravagant theme parties, and a full gym facing the ocean bordered by a delightful spa and salon? Every minute of your cruise is full of enjoyment with the comfort of a hotel stay. Thankfully our Stateroom included a precious balcony, where I took the most amazing selfies, making it an enchanting experience in itself. Actually, I was sitting facing an immense stunning and vast ocean on our way to the Bahamas writing this post. The peace and happiness I felt on this balcony has no comparison to any vacation I have ever experienced before. It is an extraordinary feeling of tranquility for the mind and the soul to be in the middle of the infinite ocean. Truly, I had no idea this cruise would make my life happier. Some passengers I spoke to shared their thoughts, and ‘for them it’s about trying everything, doing everything, and having fun’. They also mentioned that they retained the ship as their resort of choice even more than picking by ports of call. In my case, I was thrilled with each port because it just added more enthusiasm and adventure to the vacation. My TOP 10 Aboard NORWEGIAN ESCAPE: Our Stateroom Balcony on the 14 Forward Deck. Login connect onboard internet services. Strolling The Waterfront oceanfront ship promenade surrounded by attractive bars and lounges. Food Republic by Pubbelly outstanding dining experience. (Please know some of the restaurants are premium and not complimentary. Prices were very reasonable...
