“New Latin Urban Movement” Panel Latin Billboard Music Conference 2015

 Some of Latin music’s top urban artists will take the stage at the 2015 Latin Billboard Music Conference as part of the New Latin Urban Movement panel on April 29, 2015 at the Ritz-Carlton Miami Beach. Headlining the panel will be Colombian rising star, J Balvin who will be joined by heavy-hitters, Farruko, Nicky Jam, Justin Quiles, and Plan B. Moderating the panel will be none other than, Alex Sensation, international DJ, record producer, radio personality, and host of his own four-hour syndicated mix show for SBS (Spanish Broadcasting System) airing across the United States and globally online. Balvin, who had a breakout year has notched two No. 1s on Billboard’s Latin Rhythm and Latin Airplay charts in the past year and is currently on tour with Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull. His current single “Ay vamos” spent 16th week at No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Rhythm Airplay chart and 10 weeks at No. 2 on Hot Latin Songs. Another Balvin #1’s, 6 A.M., features fellow panelist Farruko who has firmly positioned himself as one of the genre’s most successful and versatile artists at the moment. His current single, “Lejos De Aquí” is currently No.4 on Billboard’s Latin Rhythm Airplay chart.  It seems like anything with the word selfie grabs my attention and the other day watching the Grammy’s, I saw this commercial about a “Lincoln Music Selfie experiment”. Then afterwards I found out that The Lincoln Motor Company was introducing a technology-driven marketing campaign that adds a unique audio layer to the pop-culture phenomenon of selfies. It was the perfect show to launch this new campaign, as it related to music, social media and it becomes a memorable experience as you can view in the video. This is how it works: the Music Selfie Experiment allows individuals to add an original audio track to their digital self-portrait. Users can visit Lincoln.com/MusicSelfie to upload their image, or can tweet their image to @LincolnMotorCo. Scanning software then applies an algorithm based on facial feature measurements. The innovative software scans the user’s face, associates values based on various facial features, and pulls from a large database of audio files to create the music selfie.
